I’m always on the lookout for new experiences or new ways to do things at work, home or play. It helps me to avoid the dreaded “creative block” that so many of us creative professionals fear.
I’ve always wondered how far it is across nearby Chippewa Lake. Yesterday I decided (despite my fear of water), to trek across the frozen lake and measure it with the Map My Hike app on my iPhone. My husband, Tim, was all for it – so were my Facebook and Twitter teams (@KEGreen198 @TGrantPhoto) who cheered us on via my iPhone. We started out from the boat launch ramp on the south end of the lake and headed north.
We made it safely across without falling on or through the ice, then followed our tracks back. It was 1.9 miles round trip.
Stay creative my friends 😉
